Service Description: Child and youth volunteer-based mentoring programs * individual and group mentoring opportunities for youth, adults and couples * 1 year commitment requested for Big Brothers and Big Sisters volunteers in original and group programs

Original Program -- matches a child with an adult volunteer for 2 hours a week or 4 hours bi-weekly

Big Couples -- matches a child with married or common law partners * volunteer couple jointly mentor

Group Mentoring Programs -- Big Rec for children 8-14 years, Go Girls! Healthy Bodies Healthy Minds for girls 11-14, and Game On! Eat Smart, Play Smart, Live Smart for boys 11-14 * Wait-List Programs for children and youth from September to December

School Based Programs -- In-School Mentoring Program matches elementary school children with adult volunteers 18 years and older * Youth In-School Mentoring matches senior high school students 16 years and older with elementary school students in local community * Post Secondary Readiness matches high school students with university or college student mentors * Newcomer Conversation and Homework Club
