Service Description:
|
Language program designed specifically to help newcomers who have educational training and/or work experience from outside Canada in a particular field. The course will provide participants with the technical work-related language skills and awareness of Canadian workplace culture needed to enter and be successful in their profession in Canada
All OSLT graduates will earn a Humber certificate
Job-search support and mentoring opportunities are also available
A CLB assessment that verifies a language level between 5 - 7 is required prior to admission

Eligibility / Target Population:
|
Adults whose English is at an intermediate level (Canadian Language Benchmarks 5 to 8) * A permanent resident, convention refugee/protected person or temporary resident affected by the crisis in Gaza (showing “MOME2023” in status documentation until March 31, 2027) * Have training or experience in a relevant field of technology (IT, Architecture, Engineering), sales and marketing, entrepreneurship, or project management
