Dentists assess and diagnose, treat, and prevent any disease or condition of the teeth, mouth, jaws, and related tissues or structures.
In Ontario, regulated health professions are governed under the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 (RHPA). Dentists are also regulated by the Dentistry Act, 1991.
